Beguiled by Deeanne Gist and J. Mark Bertrand

This was the first time I have read a novel by either authors, and was left intrigued. The story was excellent and kept my attention and not once did I run into a slow spot. The setting of the novel is Charleston, where Rylee Monroe is a dogwalker. The streets in the book, and even the stores are based on real-life, though the events are not.

The plot of the story is that someone keeps terrorizing the local neighborhood in which Rylee Monroe works and the break-ins all seem to be centered around Rylee. Reporter Logan Woods is following the break-ins for the newspaper, and also because he is writing a book on crimes that have occurred around Charleston.

Throughout the entire novel the mystery deepens as to who is the person breaking in, how is Rylee Monroe centered around it, and what is the purpose of the break-ins?
I would suggest this book for anyone who likes romance novels and mysteries. It is a great read and you will not be disappointed by the end!

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Bethany House as part of their blogger book review program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
